Meet Dr. Scali

Philip P. Scali, DMD

My dental profession gives me a means to work scientifically to help improve people's lives, and allows me to use my artistic, creative skills to produce functional, aesthetic results that make people smile. Nothing is more rewarding than working with a fearful patient to help them overcome their fears and receive excellent dental care. I joined the oral healthcare field not only to achieve excellence but to help people to stay healthy, maintain their dentition, and live their lives pain-free.

My father started this practice in 1959, and I am honored to continue his legacy of providing quality care to the Belmont community.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Biology – Boston College, 1989
  • Doctorate of Dental Medicine – Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, 1993

In addition to my formal education, I continue my training through courses and seminars throughout the year in order to stay informed of current technology. I feel it is very important to stay up-to-date so my patients can receive the most current, state-of-the-art dental care.

Professional Affiliations

Along with continuing my education, staying active in the dental community is vital to a successful practice. I am active in many local and national organizations, Including:

  • The American Dental Association
  • The Massachusetts Dental Society
  • The Middlesex District Dental Society
  • The American Dental Implant Association, Fellow
  • Member of The Academy of Implant Dentistry
  • Past President of the Middlesex Dental Society
  • Member of the American Dental  (ADA) Association
  • Eastern Massachusetts Dental Study Club and Management Group

Outside the Office

I grew up in Belmont and am proud to live, work, and raise my family in this wonderful community. My wife, Lisa, and I have four children all under the age of 13. Much of my free time is devoted to their activities, and I enjoy watching them grow up right before my eyes. When I do have a moment, I enjoy bicycling, baseball, and traveling.

As an active member of my community, I feel it is my responsibility to give back to the area that has done so much for me. I am a member and past president of the Belmont Rotary Club and the Belmont/Watertown Chamber of Commerce. I am also on the parish council at St. Joseph's church.
